2 – Will the Cardinals sign a starting-caliber quarterback?

With Kyler Murray potentially missing the opening weeks of 2023, the Arizona Cardinals should seek a free agent quarterback who can start a handful of games to keep the team afloat. Obviously, the Cardinals want Murray to be their long-term solution. But if they sign a quarterback like Jacoby Brissett or Taylor Heinicke, don’t be surprised.

Both aforementioned names are high-end backups who have extensive experience as starting quarterbacks. They can also win football games if the team surrounding them has enough talent.

3 – How will the Cardinals spend their money in free agency?

Depending on what they do with Hopkins and where Murray’s at once the new league year begins, we will know more about where the Arizona Cardinals will spend their money. Do they trade Hopkins and try to bring in a younger receiver? If Murray is good, then where would the money for a would-be quarterback go?

If they keep Hopkins and Murray can’t go, perhaps they roll with a Heinicke or a Brissett, then invest some money in the offensive line. As you can see, it’s purely speculation at the moment. Once we have an answer regarding Murray and Hopkins, and when we know who the Cards will re-sign and who they will let walk, we will have a clearer answer.
