Everything about the Cardinals' coaching staff is set to change when Monti Ossenfort chooses to hire his next head coach. With Jonathan Gannon's era in the past, the rest of the staff will likely be replaced in the regime change.
However, while most assistants don’t risk it and find jobs elsewhere, some stay back and hope they can land a job with the new staff.
Offensive coordinator Drew Petzing joined the Detroit Lions’ staff after Gannon’s firing, and as of now, he is the only staffer to reportedly secure an NFL job.
Johnny Venerable of the PHNX Cardinals Podcast predicted defensive coordinator Nick Rallis to keep his job in Arizona, projecting the next staff in the building to keep him around.

In 2025, Rallis led a defensive unit with veterans Budda Baker and Josh Sweat. He also helped younger guys such as Walter Nolen III, Will Johnson, Cody Simon, and Denzel Burke develop and gave them something to grow on.
Rallis, 32, has been the Cardinals' defensive coordinator since 2023 and was hired by Jonathan Gannon when he made the move from Philadelphia to Arizona. Rallis served under Gannon’s staff in Philadelphia, where they reached the Super Bowl in 2022, led bya top-ten defensive unit.
Venerable is spot on when he says that Rallis has a chance at remaining the defensive coordinator, as he served as the ultimate glue guy for a young defensive unit.
So far, the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, and Tennessee Titans have already decided on their next head coach.
As we head towards Championship Sunday, the Cardinals' head coaching search is about to kick into high gear.
