The Cardinals brought him in for an interview, but it meant he would also be competing with other candidates from outside the house. But fortunately for him, he managed to keep his job in Arizona.

The Cardinals opted to bring back defensive coordinator Nick Rallis, who was hired by Jonathan Gannon, to fill the same role he previously held.

Rallis, 32, rejoins the organization under newly hired head coach Mike LaFleur, who came over after serving as the Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator under Sean McVay.

With the hiring of Rallis, LaFleur has officially filled both coordinator roles. The team hired Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator earlier this month.

In his first couple of seasons with Arizona, Rallis has had the opportunity to coach players with a wide range of experience. From veterans like Calais Campbell, Budda Baker, and Josh Sweat. To rookies in Walter Nolen III, Cody Simon, Denzel Burke, and Will Johnson. There is plenty to look forward to on this side of the ball.

While the Cardinals did finish with only three wins in 2025, it was obvious that the talent was there, but the team just needed a little bit of change.

With a defensive coordinator in place, Arizona can start making personnel decisions and hires on that side of the ball. On offense, they have already made five.

The Cardinals also hired Michael Ghobrial as their special teams coordinator, poaching him from the New York Giants staff. Ghobrial takes on the same role in Arizona that he had with the Giants.

Mike LaFleur was awfully busy towards the end of the week, but it seems as if the wheels are beginning to move.
