The Arizona Cardinals dropped their seventh straight game on Sunday after failing to keep up with a dynamic Atlanta Falcons offense, falling to 3–12 and even closer to landing a top-five draft pick in the 2026 draft.
It wasn’t that the Cardinals' offense couldn’t keep up with Atlanta’s; it was more of a fact that the Cardinals’ defense couldn’t keep up with one individual player. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson looked unstoppable today, as he made an impact both on the ground and through the air.
Robinson saw 16 carries for 76 yards, with his longest run being 29 yards. He also caught 7-of-11 targets for 92 yards while also catching a touchdown, which he ran in from 13 yards out. Robinson was the leading receiver in the game, counting both teams.
Robinson, 23, is in his third year in the league and is having his best season yet, as he has already eclipsed his season total from the year before in scrimmage yards.
It wasn’t just Robinson who was able to fry the Arizona defense, as Tyler Allgeier led the Falcons in rushing yards with 79. The two each had 16 carries and had almost identical efficiency.

Another factor in the Cardinals' loss had to do with injuries. The team saw Walter Nolen III, Budda Baker, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, Garrett Williams, and Josh Sweat exit at some point during the game. This right here has been the story of the season, as Arizona just hasn’t been able to stay healthy.
Walter Nolen suffered what is believed to be a non-contact injury. We will await results from tests run on him tomorrow, but at first glance, it did not look good. On top of that, this is Nolen’s third injury of the season. What is especially sad about this is that the 22-year-old hasn’t had an injury history until now.
The two big takeaways from today’s loss: the run defense needs to improve, and the Cardinals have the worst injury luck in the league.
We will learn more about the status of everyone as the week moves on.
