Among all of the lows in the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 campaign, there are always small bright spots that shine above the rest. Two of those were on the offensive side of the ball, and to many’s surprise, they are already nearing the end of their rookie contracts.
Michael Wilson is one of those guys, and he is coming off a season that will only make him more valuable. Logging 1,000-plus yards and demonstrating what it means to step up in big moments, it would be a mistake for Arizona to let the now 26-year-old walk.
"Everybody is in different situations," Ossenfort said. "Here is what I would say about Michael. Michael had an outstanding year for us. He's a great person. He works, he leads, and he produced on the field. Michael is about everything we want in our program to be about, and hopefully he is here for a long time."

The production of Paris Johnson Jr. goes unnoticed at times because offensive linemen don’t tend to get the same amount of credit.
But Johnson has been the rock on a young, up-and-coming unit. Excelling in run and pass protection, he is the guy to keep your quarterback upright. While the Cardinals don’t know who QB1 will be just yet, one thing is for sure: this team needs Paris Johnson.
"Paris got through Year 3, going into Year 4, excited where Paris is at," Ossenfort said. "He's done some really good things and there are some areas I know Paris wants to improve at. That's the great thing about Paris, he's focused on that and focused on continuing to ascend. We have some decision points with Paris coming.”
The Cardinals have the talent. The coaches, the front office, and other players know this. It's just a matter of securing them for the long term.
