It has gotten to that part of the offseason where it feels as if we are in the middle of no man’s land, as the head coaching vacancy has been filled, and we are not yet to the date to sign any free agents.

Mike LaFleur, Arizona’s new head coach, has filled up the bulk of the coaching jobs on his staff, but he still has some ways to go in order to fill it in its entirety. Not much noteworthy news has broken over the last couple of days.

However, the Cardinals officially put shovels in the ground for their $200 million practice facility, where many players and coaches were present to unveil the new site located in North Phoenix.

From the team’s owner, Michael Bidwell, to general manager Monti Ossenfort, Mike LaFleur, and players, plenty of personnel were in attendance. But there was one major figure of the Cardinals organization missing, and his absence may indicate his future with the team.

Kyler Murray Not In Attendance For Ceremony

The Arizona Cardinals' “franchise quarterback” was not in attendance for the groundbreaking ceremony, which indicates that the team is going to move off of the 28-year-old dual-threat quarterback.

There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Murray since Week 5 that the team planned on moving off of him, and more importantly, his massive contract.

The Cardinals ended 2025 with only three wins, and with the need to rebuild, taking on the hefty contract with minimal production is a huge priority.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes Ossenfort to get this done, but it seems obvious that Murray’s days in Arizona are coming to an end. The no-show is proof enough.
