The Arizona Cardinals have seen their fair share of injuries on both sides of the ball, and it has played a major factor in terms of the results of the season.

Seeing the injuries to Marvin Harrison Jr., Walter Nolen III, Will Johnson, and Kyler Murray has been a reason why the Cardinals' chances of developing into a somewhat competitive team have fallen short.

For once, the team will benefit in terms of the matchup this weekend, as their opponent could be without one of their top pass catchers after a recent injury designation.

The Cardinals are facing off against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend, a team that is stacked with offensive talent. However, one of their top targets in Davante Adams, did not practice today due to a hamstring injury. His status for Sunday is up in the air, and that gives Arizona a shot to compete.

The Rams are coming off a loss that absolutely stings, as they were featured in one of the biggest upsets of the season, dropping their Week 13 matchup on the road to the Carolina Panthers.

The Rams losing Adams hurts, but not to the same degree as the Cardinals being without Marvin Harrison Jr. After all, the team has Puka Nacua lined up on the other side, and we all know what he can look like when he is the sole No. 1 option in the offense.

It is safe to say that the Cardinals are going to be big-time underdogs this weekend, but the off chance of not having to face both Adams and Nacua simultaneously will definitely make it a better game.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon is a defensive-minded coach, so he would be able to game plan relatively well if Los Angeles did have both of their star wide receivers. It will be interesting to see what he has in store for us closer to Sunday when we learn more about the severity of Adam’s hamstring injury.
