The Cardinals released their injury report from Thursday’s practice, and the status of two key players looks to be on the fence for Sunday’s game at home against the Los Angeles Rams (9–3).
For the second straight day, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) and defensive tackle Walter Nolen III (knee) were both non-participants in practice.
Harrison’s injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Arizona’s 20–17 road loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he ended up returning to action. However, it seems as if head coach Jonathan Gannon is taking it step-by-step in this week of practice leading up to Sunday.
Harrison made his first start last Sunday after missing the past two weeks recovering from appendicitis.
As for Walter Nolen, he is in danger of missing his second consecutive game with a knee injury. Nolen exited the team’s Week 12 game at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the same game he recorded his first-ever touchdown.
Nolen has been incredibly impactful on the defensive front when healthy, but that’s when the issues begin to rise. Selected at No. 16 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, Nolen missed the team’s first seven games leading up to the team’s bye week with a calf injury.
Offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum, running back Trey Benson, and cornerback Max Melton were also non-participants in practice.
The Cardinals are facing a Rams team that was on the receiving end of one of the league’s biggest upset losses, as they dropped their Week 13 matchup on the road to the Carolina Panthers. A game where quarterback Matthew Stafford committed three turnovers (two interceptions, one fumble).
Being shorthanded against a team as talented as Los Angeles is not a situation you ever want to be in, especially since they are coming off by far their worst loss of the season. Head coach Jonathan Gannon will need to plan accordingly when facing a wide receiver duo featuring Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
Adams did not practice on Wednesday, but was limited on Thursday, which seems as if he will be on track to play.
We will learn more about the status of Harrison and Nolen as we get closer to Sunday.
