3 Arizona Cardinals 2024 opponents who vastly improved through free agency
By Brandon Ray
Heading into the 2024 season, the Arizona Cardinals will be taking on a mixture of opponents who have improved and declined up to this point in free agency. Arizona has been able add talent since the start of the legal tampering period and into the official new year. There is still a ton of work for Monti Ossenfort to do but that should come more in the NFL draft.
Throughout the free agency frenzy, there are teams that have made big splashes with how they are spending money. The Tennessee Titans were a dark horse team in the Calvin Ridley sweepstakes and ended up signing Ridley to a 4-year deal after most of us thought that Ridley was choosing between New England and Jacksonville. The Atlanta Falcons went out and signed quarterback Kirk Cousins to a 4-year deal to plug into the offense that has Drake London, Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson, and newly acquired wide receiver Darnell Mooney.
The Cardinals have taken a different approach to free agency. Their biggest splash has been signing offensive tackle Jonah Williams to help solidify the offensive line for Kyler Murray. Arizona is looking to be smart with their money and while there is respect to that, they are also missing out on big acquisitions that could impact their team for the better.
Arizona will be facing three specific opponents that have went out and acquired talent that should make an immediate impact next season. Within these three opponents, two of them are in the same division and one is in the AFC.
