Heading into last season, there were not high expectations for the Arizona Cardinals. They were just trying to get past 2023, let quarterback Kyler Murray heal from his torn ACL injury in 2022, and Jonathan Gannon was in as the new head coach. Then eventually, the team released wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins who would eventually sign with the Tennessee Titans.

In a season where expectations were low, this was a chance for players on the Cardinals to show what they were made of and could solidify themselves as a building block to get Arizona back to being a competitive team within the NFC West. While there were some players that impressed at various stretches of the season, there were three players specifically who were a disappointment and did not play as big of a role.

All three of these players are on offense with one on an expiring contract that may have cost them a potential re-signing with the Cardinals.

Here are the three Cardinals that are safe to call busts after the 2023 season.
