3.) David Montgomery

There was a lot of confusion when the Detroit Lions not only signed David Montgomery, but also drafted Jahmyr Gibbs in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. However, it turned out to be one of the best scenarios possible for the Lions as they had one of the best offenses in the league which included their dominant running game. Montgomery has always been a solid player, but his first year in Detroit was successful. He finished the season with over 1,000 rushing yards and with his first season of double digit rushing touchdowns.

The Cardinals are going to need all that they have to slow down the Lions’ offense, both against the pass and the run. They did not lose anyone significant and there is no reason why they can’t repeat their 2023 season. Montgomery will be a tough challenge for the Cardinals next season in between the tackles.
