Could the Arizona Cardinals sign a few former Titans?

With his ties to the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort may pick a few players from his former team.

Bobby Kownack of NFL.com reported the Tennessee Titans will be parting ways with three key players in Taylor Lewan, Robert Woods, and Randy Bullock. And since the Arizona Cardinals need help on the offensive line, at kicker, and potentially at receiver, don't be surprised if general manager Monti Ossenfort reaches out to a few of his former players.

If the Cardinals end up trading receiver DeAndre Hopkins, then they may enlist Robert Woods' services. Woods, who is the same age as Hopkins, would make a serviceable stopgap. Last season, he snagged 53 catches for 537 yards, and two touchdowns. Not Hopkins numbers, but Woods showed he can still play in this league.

Arizona Cardinals could potentially add some newly-released Titans

Taylor Lewan will be 32 when the 2023 season begins, and it's not an ideal age for a Cardinals team looking to get younger. But once again, he could be a stopgap on an offensive line that may need some. Lewan will be entering his 10th season in the league and he has three Pro Bowls to his name.

Finally, there's Bullock, who will head into his 12th season in 2023. Bullock is yet another aging player, but he is five years younger than Matt Prater, who kicked for the Arizona Cardinals over the previous two seasons. Bullock converted 84.6% of his field goal attempts with the Titans, with a long of 51 yards.

While none of the above are ideal for a potentially rebuilding Arizona team, if the Cards were seeking to revamp the roster, they could have three one-year rentals to patch up the unit for a season. Since all three can still play, don't be surprised if one or even all three of them are wearing cardinal and white in 2023.

Trade Talk. Yet another candidate for Hopkins emerges. dark
