2.) Los Angeles Rams
Even though Arizona had a great draft, the Rams’ first three picks were phenomenal. After rumors started on the first day of the draft about the Rams trying to trade up into the top ten, they would stay put at No. 19 and select Florida State edge rusher Jared Verse. The first round was offensive-heavy and that meant that some teams were going to get some serious defensive talent. The Rams happened to be one of those teams. Verse brings major physicality to his game and the duo of him and Byron Young will be a solid combo in the future. The Rams would then trade up to get Verse’s college teammate Braden Fiske to plug into the middle of the defensive line. Fiske stood out in his combine that was shined by a 4.78 40-yard dash and now he pairs up with Kobie Turner, who led all rookie defensive tackle rookies last season with 9 sacks.
Then in the third round, Michigan running back Blake Corum ended up getting drafted by the Rams. Corum, who had major success in the backfield at Michigan, will share carries with Kyren Williams behind an offensive line that upgraded big time in free agency with Jonah Jackson. The Rams already have one of the best passing attacks led by Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, and will now add a physical running game. Arizona will have to face the Rams twice so they will have double the trouble against LA.
