Still No Word on Warner

Kurt Warner is still a free agent, although there is word the two sides talked yesterday.  Also, azcentral.com is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers have shown interest in Warner.  If he were to leave the Cardinals for the Niners, that would be yet one more star athlete from Phoenix going to a divisional team.  The Arizona Diamondbacks have been good at letting that happen recently.

I don’t know how serious the interest is, but as long as Warner is  free agent and not under contract with the Cardinals, anything is possible. The Niners have the money, so do the Cardinals.  It’s a question of whether the Cardinals want to tighten their wallets once again, something that bogged them down for years.
