Around the NFC West

So how did the rest of the NFC West fair this weekend in the first preseason games?  We know what the Arizona Cardinals did in defeating the Oakland Raiders 24-18.   The Seattle Seahawks looked ok in defeating the San Diego Chargers 24-17.  The St. Louis Rams defeated the Indianapolis Colts 33-10, and the San Francisco 49ers got beaten by the New Orleans Saints 24-3.  Not sure what to make out of any of it except none of it counts, but they play them anyways.

San Francisco: The quarterback issue is definitely at the forefront in Frisco.  Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick both didn’t play very well at all in their loss to the Saints.  Tomorrow they bring in Daunte Culpepper for a tryout.  Wow.  I’d almost say that was taking a step backwards.

St. Louis: The Rams got banged up at receiver in their first preseason game.  The WR position was already a concern.  Now Mike Sims-Walker suffered a groin injury in their win over the Colts.  The team reports it is not considered serious.

Seattle: Tackle Russell Okung was injured in the first quarter of their win over San Diego.  His ankle injury is also not considered to be serious. It is however another injury to his ankle.  He missed six games last season due to ankle issues.
