Clark Haggans Back in the Fold for Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are a fan of Clark Haggans.  They must be if they re-signed the 35-year old linebacker on Tuesday.  He returns to the Cards in 2012 with the role of playing mentor and backup for the most part.  He’s been mostly a starter in his Cards days leading up to today.  He started every game in 2011.

I love Haggans attitude.  It is infectious and with all the younger players, including guys like O’Brien Schofield and Daryl Washington at linebacker, he can do nothing but rub all that positive attitude on them.  I like the move.

Some naysayers will say he’s old, washed up, doing nothing but taking up a roster spot.  I don’t see it that way.  I understand why the Cards brought him back in.  He has a great work ethic.  No doubt it can do wonders for the rest of the team.
