They count for nothing more than bragging rights and of course some jobs, however it still does not dismiss the fact the Arizona Cardinals were given a rather tough preseason schedule.  They open preseason week one on the road in Green Bay.  In addition to the Packers, they have three more games, two at home and another on the road.  At least this season they won’t have the added fifth preseason game.

After opening with the Packers, the Cards then come home in week two of the preseason to face the Dallas Cowboys and week three against the San Diego Chargers. The Cards will once again wrap-up the preseason against the Denver Broncos, this year in Denver.

If Cards coach Bruce Arians is to be believed, then Carson Palmer will be the starting quarterback without any competition from Drew Stanton or any quarterback they may or may not draft at the end of April.  That means expect Palmer to see his most significant time against the Cowboys and Chargers in August.

Surely the Cards will sell a lot of seats to the Cowboys game and wouldn’t be surprised to have them make the Cowboys game be purchased with a regular season game as a package.  Even though it is preseason, it is sure to be a popular ticket. The Chargers also have a huge following here, so that should also be well attended.

Now we just sit and wait until April 16th, when the 2013 regular season schedule is released.
