Last month the NFL announced all 32 teams preseason opponents.  Today the NFL announced all dates and times of the games.  As we already know, the Arizona Cardinals will play two games on the road in Green Bay and Denver, which bookends home games against Dallas and San Diego.

The first preseason game will be Friday August 9th at the Green Bay Packers.  Game time will be 5 PM Arizona time.  We all know what happened the last time the Cards had a preseason game on a Friday in Green Bay.  Two words: Ryan Williams.

The second preseason game is a home game.  It is an afternoon affair at University of Phoenix Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys at 1:30 pm on Saturday August 17th.  It gives a nice change of pace to free up fans for their Saturday evening.  I like the idea of an afternoon preseason game, as I went to one of those a few years ago against the Houston Texans and it was great to get a regular season feel with a daytime game.

The third preseason game is also on Saturday. This one is Saturday August 24th at 7pm, when the Cards will face the San Diego Chargers.  The Chargers become a regular preseason foe.

The last preseason game as usual will be against the Denver Broncos.  It will be at 6pm on Thursday August 29th, and it is also the most meaningless football game of the year.
