Receiver Kerry Taylor is getting his shot in the NFL.  On Saturday afternoon the Arizona Cardinals added Taylor off of the practice squad.  To make room the Cards released second-year corner back Jamell Fleming.

It is interested that Taylor gets his shot this week. Cards receiver Larry Fitzgerald is nursing a hamstring that kept him limited in practice this week and has him listed as questionable this afternoon against the Detroit Lions.  Also, receiver Andre Roberts was nursing an injury, however both are expected to be ready to go and will play.  This is probably more of an insurance policy in case Fitz aggravates his injury any further during the game.

Taylor now get his shot that he thought and we all thought he had earned coming out of training camp.  Taylor tweeted the day the Cards cut down from 75 to 60 that made it seem he had been told he made the team.  Then the next day he was cut to get down to the 53-man roster.

As for Fleming, he had a subpar preseason.  He turns out to be a disappointment for the Cards after such high hopes upon being drafted.  It is not often a team gives up on a high draft pick that quickly.  Let’s hope he is able to revive his career and perform well elsewhere.
