Prayers up please BirdgangArizona Cardinals nose tackle Dan Williams has experienced a tragedy.  After hearing last night he did not travel with the Cards to face the New Orleans Saints today, this morning we found out why.  Williams’ dad was killed in an auto accident on his way to New Orleans to watch him play.

Words can not express enough in situations like this my friends.  It is heartbreaking to know a proud dad was on his way to watch his son play an NFL game only to have this happen.  I don’t have all the details on the accident but all we need to know is the result.  There is a Birdgang member hurting today and I want each of you to please throw your thoughts and prayers out to Dan Williams and his family.

In Williams place, NT Alameda Ta’amu will play.  Let’s hope the Cards can go out there, play hard, and get a victory in cajun country for the talented nose tackle.  He will have some shoes to fill.  Williams has already had an exciting first couple weeks of the season.  He returned an interception for touchdown in week one against the St. Louis Rams.  He will be missed but most of all I hope he is given the time to tend to his family.  It is times like these that make football so meaningless in the grand scheme of things.  Our condolences and God speed to Dan Williams and his family.
