The Arizona Cardinals injury report has not started out pretty this week.  The initial report released Wednesday indicated there were nine players either out or limited in practice.  That does not bode well come Sunday against the San Francisco 49’ers.

Linebacker Kenny Demens was the only one who didn’t actually practice at all on Wednesday.  He was out due to a hamstring injury sustained this past Sunday.  Linebackers Jasper Brinkley, who missed last Sunday’s game, John Abraham, and Kevin Minter all were limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Also limited in practice were defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, receiver Larry Fitzgerald, safety Rashad Johnson, defensive end Ronald Talley, and linebacker Daryl Washington.  Guard Daryn Colledge is nursing a shin issue, however he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.

Obviously Washington, Fitzgerald, and Dockett are the names that pop out at you from the list but it’s early still in the week and the Cards just could be erring on the side of caution.  I have no issues with that.

As for the Niners, the two biggest names on their Wednesday injury report who did not practice are defensive tackles Ray McDonald and Justin Smith.   Cornerbacks Nnamdi Asomugha and Carlos Rogers and linebacker Patrick Willis, other big names, were limited on Wednesday.
