What happens on Wednesday does not necessarily dictate what will happen on Sunday, however gauging by the Arizona Cardinals injury report Wednesday, it is a lengthy list and one that leaves concern heading into this Sunday’s contest against the St. Louis Rams.

Running back Andre Ellington, who missed last Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with an injured knee, did not practice on Wednesday.  He’d be the one person I’d be most concerned about right now.  Also, receiver Michael Floyd was a non-participant in practice.  Floyd is nursing an ankle injury.  Floyd has clearly stepped into the number two slot at receiver and any time he misses from here on out is very detrimental to the Cards playoff chances.

The Cards also had a number of players limited in practice on Wednesday.  They include quarterback Carson Palmer (elbow), linebacker Marcus Bernard (shoulder), tight end Jim Dray (back), tight end Rob Housler (ankle), safety Rashad Johnson (ribs), linebacker Kevin Minter (shoulder), and punter Dave Zastudil (ankle).

There is no indication any of these players are in position to miss the Rams game, however it is certainly something to keep an eye on.  There are some key players on this list the Cards absolutely need if they want any chance in beating the Rams on Sunday.
