The Arizona Cardinals held their Fan Fest yesterday in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium.  Approximately 23,500 people attended the practice and fan event.  That was an improvement from the approximately 17,500 that attended last season, their first training camp in Glendale.  That’s a strong showing but how about in Green Bay where they had just north of 67,300 people attend their event last night.  It’s a religion in Wisconsin, so we’ll give that to them but excellent turnout birdgang!

Head Coach Bruce Arians called out guard Jonathan Cooper on Saturday saying he needed to see improvement from the second-year player.  Cooper, coming off a broken leg, has been participating in practices.  The Cards picked up linebacker Trevardo Williams on Saturday and released cornerback Todd Washington. The Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals had their first player inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night in Aeneas Williams.  Former Cards and St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner will be up for election for the first time next year. Wide receiver John Brown did not participate in Saturday’s practice.  He was held out as a precaution after hurting his hamstring in Wednesday’s practice.  The team says he should be fine to practice this upcoming week in preparation for the game against the Houston Texans next Saturday.
