Arizona Cardinals Roster Profile: Damien Thigpen

As the Arizona Cardinals are in preparation for the season with training camp now in full swing in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are taking a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is running back Damien Thigpen.

2013 season:  Thigpen was a running back at UCLA.

2014 season: Thigpen, signed as a undrafted rookie free agent in June, isn’t really anything more than a camp body in all reality.  I’m not a big fan of saying that, although I have had to many times going through the roster, but there just seems no way there is a place for Thigpen unless something happens to at least two backs.  There are at least five guys ahead of him on the depth chart.  He did get two carries for six yards in the preseason opener against the Houston Texans.  He could be a candidate for the practice squad but he is going to have to show a lot more for any chance of that.
