If there was ever a worry about Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington and his injured toe, he certainly isn’t showing it on the field after two games.  He looked good against both the San Diego Chargers and the New York Giants.

After carrying the ball 13 times for 53 yards and catching five passes for 27 yards in the opener against the Chargers, he followed up the Giants game with a 15 carries for 91 yards performance.  He did have just one reception for 10 yards though because of a couple of drops.  That’s not too important in the grand scheme of things though.

Ellington did not look bothered one bit.  He was cutting well and running well.  Point in case in the first quarter the Cards were on a 3rd and 14 from their own 25.  Typically teams will run draw plays in those cases because they are safe and usually provides better field position for punting.  Ellington went for 15 yards and got the Cards the first down on the draw.  He found the whole and had such a great burst of speed around the right to make it to the marker.

Now, he could be hiding pain.  Sure it’s possible he is but he isn’t saying it and sure isn’t showing it.  So far so good.
