Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell has finally gotten his apology.  Four days after being injured on an illegal chop block, Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas has apologized.

Campbell indicated on Thursday that he did in fact receive a text message from Thomas apologizing for the chop block.  Whether it is sincere or not, whatever.  He got an apology and now hopefully we can put the incident behind us.  I still think Thomas should have actually picked up the phone and apologized.  However in this day and age of technology, getting an apology by text should come as no surprise.

Cards linebacker Sam Acho also indicated on his show the other night that Thomas had attempted to come to the Cards locker room after the game on Sunday to apologize.  That report was never corroborated however and nothing more was said about that afterwards.

At this point let’s just hope Campbell returns sooner than later.  He has not practiced this week and is expected to be out 1-3 weeks.  Thomas was fined $8,268 on Wednesday by the NFL for the hit.
