According to Darren Urban of azcardinals.com, quarterback Drew Stanton was not present at practice on Thursday.  However Carson Palmer was present with some light throwing.  It would appear Stanton will be a no-go for Sunday at this point.

I would not rule out Palmer though.  He is scheduled to go to Denver for treatment on his nerve and his shoulder is said to be getting better everyday.  Right now, my best guess would be that the Cards will start Logan Thomas on Sunday and have Palmer as the backup if necessary.  If things go south on Thomas quickly, then Palmer could enter but it would be a use only if necessary thing.

That’s all speculation on my part though.  Based on the current status of Palmer, it could still go either way.  I know the Cards are still hopeful that Palmer can play Sunday but they are also preparing for Thomas.  Stanton though, sounds like he’s at least a week away from game action and if that means he will be 100 percent healthy, then that’s fine by me.
