When the Arizona Cardinals hired Bruce Arians as their next head coach back in January of 2013, I’ll admit at first I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it.  I knew what he had just done with the Indianapolis Colts in place of Chuck Pagano.  So, on the field, I had a pretty good idea but off the field he’s been pure gold for Cards fans.

Arians does his charity work and bless him for it, so we knew we were getting a great guy but he has shown what a great sense of humor he has.  He adds levity, even when you are least expecting it.  He further proved that point today when speaking to the media in regards to the quarterback situation.

"According to Adam Schefter, Logan Thomas will be the starting quarterback"

Basically he just came out and said, hey Adam, you don’t know what you are talking about.  Since even Arians doesn’t know who is starting yet and even if he does, he ‘s not announced it yet and won’t until Sunday, how can Schefter possibly know?  He doesn’t.  All these ESPN and NFL Network guys saying Palmer is out and Thomas is the starter.  They have no clue.  None.  It’s all a guessing game to them.  It’s a guessing game to me.  An opinion should not be reported as fact until it comes out of Arians mouth when it comes to who is or isn’t playing on Sunday.  Period.

Arians though is gold.  He has a sense of humor about it regardless of how ridiculous it is for people to report what will happen.  That’s why I love the guy.  His comment on his birthday last week to the media about being 62 and sexier.  Gold.  His bringing in comedian Frank Caliendo to talk to the team at the end of training camp.  Gold.  He’s just the kind of guy you want in charge of your Arizona Cardinals.
