The Arizona Cardinals and Washington Redskins announced their inactive players for Sunday’s game

The Arizona Cardinals will be without safety Tyrann Mathieu on Sunday as they prepare to face the Washington Redskins.  His injured shoulder continues to bother him.  According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, Mathieu felt he was hurting the team by continuing to play.  Don’t look for him to play until he feels 100 percent.

Also inactive for the Cardinals on Sunday will be defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche.  He has continued to be a healthy scratch as he continues to learn how to be a professional football player.

Other Cardinals inactives:

WR Marquis Bundy

LB Sio Moore

DT Ed Stinson

G Cole Toner

DT Olsen Pierre

No real surprises on the inactive list for the Cardinals on Sunday.  The addition of Bundy on the inactive list means Cardinals receivers Michael Floyd and John Brown are healthy enough to play. Both have struggled to stay healthy in 2016.

For the Redskins, their biggest name on the inactive list for Sunday is tight end Jordan Reed.  Reed has 59 receptions for 630-yards and five touchdowns so far this season.

Other Redskins inactives:

WR Rashad Ross

RB Matt Jones

DL AJ Francis

QB Nate Sudfeld

DE Anthony Lanier

CB DeShaun Phillips

No Reed for the Redskins means more action for their high-flying receivers.  Jamison Crowder and DeSean Jackson could have huge days with deep plays for the Skins.

Also look for the Redskins to run the ball.  With running back Robert Kelley struggling last week against the Dallas Cowboys, they likely will try to get their back back on track after his 37-yard effort last week.

No Honey Badger for the Cardinals is huge.  However it is beneficial for the Cardinals for Mathieu to recognize on his own he could not play this week.  He hasn’t been 100 percent all season as he returned from a torn ACL last December and then suffering his shoulder injury in Carolina over a month ago.
