Arizona Cardinals President Michael Bidwill suggested the reason for not winning the west last season lies at the foot of Chandler Catanzaro

He didn’t come right out and say it, but Arizona Cardinals President Michael Bidwill all but said last season was Chandler Catanzaro’s fault.  He’s partially correct but there were a number of issues that kept the Cardinals from winning more in 2016.

Last season was one most of us would rather forget.  After coming off a 2015 season that saw the Cardinals go to the NFC Championship Game against the Carolina Panthers on the heels of a NFC Divisional Playoff win and a 13-3 regular season, expectations were high.

However the team finished 7-8-1 for a number of reasons.  They were in every game and had chances to win late in most of their losses.

This week though Bidwill seemed to put the balance of fault on the missed kicks that would have won three games.  It is easy to understand why but he left out other reasons.

Some of the reasons for the poor record last season have been attempted to be fixed.  We’ll see how it pans out once the new season gets underway.  Here are five keys to getting back to winning the NFC West in 2017
