Don’t Think About the Past

I have been hearing more and more about the Cardinals-Steelers game from September 2007.  I know this is really the only direct comparison you can grab between the two teams to analyze the upcoming game on Sunday.  However, that game is history.  It wasn’t even played this season.  These teams are different teams playing against each other 16 months later!

Much like the Cardinals game against Philadelphia in November on Thanksgiving night, that game means NOTHING.  Clearly the media is stretching for comparison, however if I hear one more word about Steve Breaston returning a punt 70 yards for a touchdown the last time these two played, I might scream.

That game has no relevance.  None.  Move on.  Find something else to talk about.  In the meantime…
