The Arizona Cardinals spent their Wednesday practicing against the team that dominated them on Monday Night Football, the Tennessee Titans. Apparently no fights broke out. Bummer. Actually that’s probably a good thing. Less risk for a stupid injury.
I am all in favor of the Cards practicing against other teams in the preseason. They practiced against the San Diego Chargers for a couple of seasons in the 1990’s. The Cards I think are making good use of their time and money by staying in Tennessee leading up to the Chicago game on Saturday. It is a little odd to practice against another team after they just played a game two days earlier. Such an arrangement usually takes place before a game, but I’ll take it. Gives teams a chance to run certain plays that wouldn’t be revealed in preseason games.
Cards practice on their own tomorrow at Vanderbilt University.
