11 Observations About the Cardinals-Vikings Game

1) Have you noticed that in the first quarter of every game the Cardinals have played, Kevin Kolb has called a lot of passes on first down (which have fallen incomplete), instead of establishing Beanie Wells on the run and setting up second and short yard situations.  And they are not even play action fakes.  I’m not quite sure I understand the logic of this play calling.

2) Ben Graham looked pretty good on punts–averaging about 43 yards per kick.  His first couple of punts were returned for significant yardage, and I think it’s because he has short hang time on his kicks.  Nevertheless, it’s good to have him back on the team.

3) In all my years as a Cardinals fan, I have never seen the Cardinals play a worse first quarter than they did against the Vikings.  It was dreadful to watch.
