10) The Cardinals only had six penalties today, and no real stupid penalties–except for the Jeremy Bridges penalty that nullified a TD. That’s an improvement over prior games this year. But if you are looking for stupid plays, the Cardinals certainly provided their share of dropped balls, missed tackles, overthrown passes, and botched routes.
11) The turning point of the game, in my opinion, was the cheap pass interference call against Richard Marshall in the third quarter, which would have given the Cardinals the ball back in good field position and conceivably helped them get a touchdown and cut the Vikings lead to something surmountable. Instead, the Vikings got the first down on the penalty, and followed the play with a 60-yard pass to Devin Aromashodu. A Vikings field goal then put the game out of reach.
