First, I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of our readers. Without you, there is no Raising Zona. Please be safe and enjoy the day of football, food, more football..and more food. I know you must be saying to yourselves right now after reading the title…what? We have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to the Arizona Cardinals? I say we have plenty to be thankful for, really! At 4-6, sure there is a lot to complain about and there is plenty of time for that but let’s be thankful for many things Cards as well.
I am thankful for……John Skelton no longer sitting behind center.
I am thankful for……the return of Beanie Wells to the active roster.
I am thankful for……finally getting another Sunday afternoon home game this weekend. October 14th was the last time we had one of those.
I am thankful for……Troy Aikman…….not having to call another Cardinals game this season. Brutal, just brutal.
I am thankful for……no more replacement refs. Man, that Seattle debacle. At least the Cardinals earn their wins, however few they may have.
I am thankful for……the Cards offensive line because hey – now I know how not to build one if ever given the chance!
I am thankful for……Larry Fitzgerald. He’s the only reason many outside Arizona still even barely care we have a football team.
I am thankful for……Peyton Manning choosing the Denver Broncos over the Cards. This way he is still alive to enjoy this holiday.
I am thankful for……the Cards having no more national television games this season. Outscored 72-23 in three national games this season.
I am thankful for……NFL Redzone Channel. Without it, I would have no other football to turn to when the Cards are upsetting me.
Enjoy the holiday and please be safe my friends!
