What do you do when its the off-season and you have little else to do? You live tweet your city’s NBA team’s basketball game. This is exactly what Arizona Cardinals Larry Fitzgerald did on Wednesday night for the Phoenix Suns-Los Angeles Clippers game.
I thought he did a nice job with his in-game observations. He tweeted out a beautiful hook from Suns center Miles Plumlee. Not only did he interject his opinions, he kept us informed of game score and time of game. Of course you might be asking who cares, right? Well, to me it shows not only how well the players and professional sports organizations in Phoenix get along so well, it also speaks to Fitz’s character. He truly appeared to be enjoying himself with his tweets. He didn’t treat it like a PR move.
At one point he tweeted out for fans to get loud. He gave away a couple of tickets to the game as well. He was asked a ton of questions during the game. Of course he didn’t get to them all but I find this type of support very cool. He’s Fitz being Fitz. Oh and before you ask, no he wasn’t just sitting in his living room providing commentary during the game. He tweeted out several pictures of him at the game. There was a picture of him in a suite. I saw a picture with a couple of fans. There was also a photo of him on the court at one point. No Earth-shattering news here just a feel good interest story from the usual good-natured Larry Fitzgerald.
