NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is scheduled to address the media on Friday afternoon at 12:00 pm Arizona time.  He has been in relative hiding this entire week during the course of all the domestic violence issues that have taken place.

It all started with now former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice.  Then there was Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, then a reversal on the decision on Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy, and finally Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer.

Goodell has not been heard from during all this mess.  You have to think the Dwyer incident was what broke the camel’s back but honestly he should have been out once the incident with Peterson came to light last Friday.  He also has questions to answer on what he really knew about the Rice video.  He went out last week and said he didn’t see it but it came to light that the video was in fact in his office.  Whether he saw it or not that remains to be seen.

So what do you want to hear from Goodell?  What do expect him to say?  I’ve been listening to a lot of speculation on radio and television over the past hour or so since this press conference was announced.  I doubt he says anything of much substance honestly.  I hope I’m proven wrong.  I do find it interesting though he’s chose to have this presser on a Friday afternoon right before the weekend.  Typical NFL.
