4. John Brown, Cardinals John Brown came out of nowhere in 2014. Well, nowhere for most of us. I have the feeling the Cardinals had their eye on him longer than they let on and why wouldn’t they? That secret panned out. The Pittsburg State (Kansas) product had a phenomenal rookie season. Brown had 48 receptions for 696 yards and five touchdowns. He was the big play guy last season. Receiver Michael Floyd didn’t really come on till late in the season. Brown was pretty consistent for the first two-thirds of the season and then tailed off but that was to be expected with the Cardinals quarterback situation. This season Brown will technically come in as the third receiver but my best bet is he will compete for the best receiving numbers on the team. We can only hope there is no sophomore jinx.
