5. Carson Palmer, Quarterback

You might be uneasy drafting a quarterback who is coming off his second ACL tear, but Palmer should receive the benefit of the doubt. This upcoming season, Palmer will be playing behind arguably one of the league’s best offensive lines (on paper at least), so there will be plenty of time for him to throw his way to your league’s championship game. In addition, Palmer is surrounded by an array of weapons, not limited to Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, John Brown, and Andre Ellington.

In his 6 games of action last season, Palmer threw for 1626 yards, along with 11 touchdown passes. In ESPN Fantasy Football Leagues, this equates to 109 points. Over a whole season, Palmer will approximately bring you 290-320 points. While I wouldn’t advise you to draft Palmer with your first round pick, expect him to be available in the middle rounds.
