Golden is the guy that could be the odd man out come cut time at the end of the preseason. He needs to make every play he can. Now, the Cardinals have been in shorts the past two days and as Arians said this weekend “no one wins a job in shorts”. That is the truth but it doesn’t hurt to make plays at anytime.
He caught a bomb over his shoulders on Sunday that wowed a lot of people. The Cardinals Twitter feed said he “shined” on day two of camp. If you look at all the Cardinals beat writers on Twitter, you’ll notice he was mentioned a time or two or three this weekend.
One other observation from fans about Golden this weekend was that he was one of the first Cardinals to hit the field for practice. That’s saying something right there. He recognizes how much hard work it is going to take to break the final 53-man roster. You have to like a guy with awareness.
