David Johnson

The guy missed missed a good part of the first week or so of training camp thanks to a hamstring injury.  Up until this afternoon it wasn’t known just how much he’d play tonight given he really didn’t get a full week of practice until this past week.  However when newly acquired running back Chris Johnson was announced as inactive thanks to a hamstring injury of his own, it was time for David Johnson to show what he could do.

He carried the ball much more than I thought any running back would get in one game this preseason for the Cardinals.  He carried the ball 13 times for 66 yards Saturday night.  Alas, I think Andre Ellington has a new partner in the backfield.  That one-two punch is going to send teams home each week silly.
