Arizona Cardinals losing Tyrann Mathieu more than physical

Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu is out for the season with a torn ACL
To see what the loss of Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu means to the team all you have to do is listen to Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians. To hear about how fans feel about the loss all you do is have to look on social media.
The loss of Honey Badger for the season hurts and it is more than physical. He is a leader in the defensive backfield and has shown his love for team, the game, and the community ever since joining the organization in 2013.
Arians was choked up in the press conference this afternoon announcing the injury. The again early on in his weekly interview with Dan Bickley and Vince Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7. Arians called him more than a great football player but also a great person.
We all feel absolutely sick about the loss of Mathieu. As you will remember he tore his ACL in December 2013 and came back to play the following season. That was on his right knee. Last night he tore the ACL in his left knee. It does not make it any easier though. He will have a tough road of rehab ahead.
@AdamSchefter @markschlereth Heart goes out 2 @Mathieu_Era who torn left one couple yrs ago; But thats reason why i know he'll bounce back

It is tough news to take all around. One of the other issues that has come up is the question of him being on the field at the time in a blowout. It really is a ridiculous argument. The Cardinals suit up 46 players. Last night seven of those were defensive backs, five of which play at the same time. Also remember this was a non-contact injury. It could have happened anywhere anytime. So let us stop with this argument now.
The Cardinals will miss Mathieu no doubt. They can overcome the loss though. The beat carries on.
