4. Sean McEwen – C
Calgary – Senior
6-3, 297 Pounds
Est draft round: 7th-undrafted
East-West Shrine Game
I put McEwen on here because of his versatility, not because of how his performance in shrine game went. Although, he was very useful in his limited role, and seem adept to the quick defensive lineman in the game. McEwen comes from Calgary, where football is not the biggest thing, so learning an NFL playbook will be a challenge.

The Cardinals do need a long term center, and McEwen is a particular piece that fits into the passing attack. He isn’t very adept at the run game, so it will be a grind for McEwen. He seems very even in his footwork, and a project for the Cardinals. Calgary doesn’t typically have many draft selections, but his raw abilities are something of a blessing. Any team willing to develop him is in for big upside.
