One of the few East-West defensive backs that really laid a hit on the receivers, Jamal Golden showed ease while playing up on receivers and running backs. A lot of Georgia Tech defensive backs have eased their way into the NFL by very proper technique. Don’t be surprised at his lateral quickness, he shows great get-off, and has tremendous tackling abilities.

The Cardinals do love their safeties, and Golden could end up being a cheap ticket item and a replacement for Rashad Johnson. Jamal Golden has good acceleration, and is an unbelievable hitter. This could really pay dividends if the Cardinals end up letting Rashad Johnson walk. Either way, the Cardinals would be absolutely set for the future, with Golden making this a lethal secondary.

Golden is very solid asset, and there is so much special teams work that he could do. He seems, in his first couple of years, fit to be the gunner to spell Justin Bethel, with Bethel needing to develop more as a corner.
