Rashad Johnson

Early in his career, I wasn’t too high on Johnson.  However the 2015 season completely convinced me he is a great fit for the system in Arizona.

He played in 14 games in 2015.  He had 61 tackles.  He tied for the team lead in interceptions with five.  He also had seven passes defensed.  He had more tackles in 2014 but I think overall as a player he was more complete in 2015.

Now a full-time starter for the last two seasons, I see this trend continuing in 2016.  This biggest difference though between Johnson and Jefferson is that Johnson is an unrestricted free agent, meaning he will be free to deal with any team he wants and the Cardinals don’t have to match an offer someone else makes.

I don’t know why Johnson would want to play anywhere else though to be honest.  The only thing I think that keeps him from being a Cardinal in 2016 is money.  What will the Cardinals offer and will any other teams throw an offer out to him?  Assuredly there will be interest from other teams.
