vs. New York Jets

The Jets are one of the other two teams to have never played a regular-season game at UOP Stadium.  This will leave only the Jacksonville Jaguars to have never played a regular-season game at UOP. This game will mark the return of Jets head coach Todd Bowels to Arizona.

Bowels was the Cardinals defensive coordinator in in 2013 and 2014.  He took that defensive attitude to New York and got the Jets to within one game of the playoffs in 2015. There are also a lot of New York transplants in Arizona that can’t wait to see this one.

The Jets last played in Arizona in 2004 when they defeated the Cardinals 13-3.  The Cardinals haven’t beaten the Jets since 1975.  The biggest question here will be will this be a homecoming for quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who went to Highland High School in Gilbert?  He is a free-agent this offseason and will garner some attention.
