Robert Ayers, New York Giants

Ayers had 9.5 sacks for the Giants in 2015.  He is another guy who pulled a disappearing act for the first several weeks of the season before turning it on.  He’s 6-3 and turns 31 in September, so age is a little concerning but not a deal breaker here.

2015 though by far was Ayers best season of his first seven in the NFL.  I would not be surprised to see the Giants re-sign him as rumors are out there that their other top defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, will not be re-signed by the team.  That leaves Ayers as their best option. Hopefully though that does not discourage others from trying to grab him.
