3. 55 yard game sealing touchdown catch vs. New Orleans Saints

In their highly anticipated regular season debut, the Cardinals hosted the Saints in what was Carson Palmer’s first regular season game since Week 10 of the 2014 season. Arizona was never able to put away New Orleans and found themselves nursing a 24-19 lead with less than 2 minutes to play. Many expected the Cardinals to run out the clock as much as they could, and then punt it back to the Saints with a few seconds remaining and leave it to the defense to clinch the win. David Johnson had other plans.

On 2nd and 8 at the Arizona 45 yard line, Carson Palmer, facing the pass rush, threw a soft pass to David Johnson who caught it at the 50 yard line. Johnson followed his blockers and took his first NFL catch to the house for a 55 yard touchdown to put the Cardinals up 31-19 and the Saints away for good. This was the only stat Johnson racked up in his NFL debut but it was a precursor of what he could do and what he would do.
