Robert Ayers, DE
Ayers, who has spent the last two seasons with the Giants, is one of the best defensive ends remaining on the free agent market. He had 9.5 sacks last season for the Giants. Last season by far was Ayers most productive since being drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2009.
Ayers though, like a number of other free agents, may be going south to the Miami Dolphins. He is scheduled for a visit there. The Dolphins have more money to spend and Ayers is likely out of the Cardinals price range. However, he is a guy that plays a need position for the Cardinals.
I don’t think he signs in Arizona. Stranger things have happened but there has been little chatter about this possibility for the Cardinals.
