Jerrell Freeman, LB

Freeman had 112 tackles and three sacks in 2015 with the Indianapolis Colts.  I mentioned his possibility in Arizona for the first time last week.  Rumors are his negotiations with the Colts haven’t gone well and is scheduled to meet with the Atlanta Falcons.

He was a rookie in 2012 when Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians was the interim head coach.  Any decent player in Arians past I say is definitely worth a look at least.  The Cardinals however may not be able to afford him and even if they could, may seem like they wouldn’t get the chance to even speak with him.

Nevertheless, the Cardinals will need to target a linebacker or two in free agency and/or the NFL Draft in April.  Over the past three seasons, the linebacker position has been a revolving door for Arians and the Cardinals.  There could also be other teams in play for Freeman’s services should the Falcons or Colts strike out with him.
